My prayers are with this family. I feel very blessed to have known him. I remember when he was my general metals teacher he always had time for his students. No matter what he never turned anyone away, whether it had to do with school or other problems you may have been having. He really made a difference in my life, I remember when I was 16 years old and was in a car accident and was out of school for quite some time, he brought my lessons to my home so I didn’t fall too far behind. He was a teacher who truly cared about everyone. He was my friend. I’m going to miss seeing his posts on Facebook. He was extremely proud of his family and I enjoyed seeing the pictures of him with his wife, you could see a sparkle in his eyes.

My prayers are for Robert’s family. His thoughts were for others, including his family, the kids that really wanted to learn in his shop class, the folks he worked with through the years and those he helped with at the Rescue Mission. We who pursue faith take comfort in the Lively Hope that we shall meet again.

To the Roehl, I am very sorry for your loss please accept my sincere condolences. I only knew Robert for a short time when I was a young 18-year-old airman stationed at Hickam AFB HI. The Roehl Family presented me with a Bible in 1980 and I still have it until this day. It has brought me closer to the Lord. To God be the glory! I lost contact with Robert over the many years and was looking to reconnect when I seen the news. Though it is sad, I know he is at home in glory! I am praying for the Roehl family. I would like to connect with the Roehl family to express my story my email is ; afvet1979@aol.com
