Ericka Todd

May 30, 1958 — January 14, 2023

Nashville

TODD, Ericka Lynn (Ricky), age 64, youngest daughter of Lisl Thalheimer and John Lowell Todd, died January 14, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born May 30, 1958, in Memphis, Tennessee, where she lived for over twenty-five years. She spent the remainder of her life living and working in the Nashville, Tennessee area.

Ericka graduated from High School at the age of 15. She attended Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis), where she studied nursing and Middle Tennessee University in Murfreesboro, where she studied accounting.

In her youth, Ericka worked in the restaurant industry, first as a line cook, then progressing to kitchen manager, floor manager, and then general manager at #1 Beale Street restaurant in Memphis at only 25 years of age. In Nashville she worked for O’Charley’s as a team coordinator for new store openings and then as a general manager before moving into the hospitality industry as a night manager of several Nashville hotels. Most recently Ericka worked as the night manager of Lowe’s Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel on West End Avenue.

Ericka will be remembered as a highly intelligent, beautiful and independent redhead with a tender heart, a sweet soul, and an accepting and giving nature. She was generous to those in need, always supportive of her family of choice, and a lover of all animals, most especially her “fur baby” kitties.

Survivors include sister, Jackie Mayerkevitz of Kibbutz Matzuva, Israel, and her family of choice members Pamela L. Reese, Marthe M. Cumming, and Tamela Howse, of Nashville, and Deborah Caldwell Myers, of Memphis.

El Malei Rachamim was recited at a private location. No other services are planned. Donations in her memory may be made to the ASPCA.

אֵל מָלֵא רַחֲמִים

G_d, full of mercy, Who dwells above, provide a sure rest on the wings of the Divine Presence, amongst the holy, pure and glorious who shine like the sky, to the soul of RIVKAH, daughter of Lisl and John, for whom charity is pledged in the memory of her soul. Therefore, the Merciful One will protect her soul forever, and will merge her soul with eternal life. The Everlasting is her heritage, and she shall rest peacefully at her lying place, and let us say: Amen.
