William Smith

W.A. "Bill" Smith, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. Born on June 28, 1932, in Nashville, Tennessee, Bill was 92.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Jessie Smith, and their children: Tammy Paulin, Randy Smith (Shannon), and Brad Smith. Bill was a cherished grandfather to Justin, Hunter, Keri, and Allison Gilbert (Matt). He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Connie Winters (Mic).

A man of strong faith, Bill was a dedicated member of Hermitage United Methodist Church. He retired from a 33+-year career at Avco / Textron Aerostructure. Bill's personality was filled with humor and a passion for family vacations, fishing, and his service as a proud Navy veteran.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
