Tory Benjamin Davila

Tory B. Davila, age 41, a longtime resident of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away June 18, 2025, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Tory was born on August 23, 1983, in Lawton, OK to the Kiowa Indian Tribe. He was raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico since the age of 5 by his parents Rosa Rosado and Benjamin Davila and was always incredibly proud to call himself a “Boricua”.

Tory was the proud father of three daughters – Sydney, Mya and Presley and one son - Samuel. His children were the light of his life, and he reveled in watching each of them grow up and develop their own unique personalities. If you were to ask his children what their favorite memories were of their dad, they would tell you all about their time spent fishing, camping, throwing the football and playing video games with Tory. They all share his love of candy and never missed the chance to eat a bag of Doritos together. They have countless memories of time spent at parks and being outdoors together. They also spent many weekend nights watching movies together as a family. The Christmas holiday especially was always a highlight for Tory, and his children have fond memories of their time together on Christmas Day. Tory made a point to teach his children about his Puerto Rican heritage and enjoyed taking them back to experience the magic of the island he loved so much.

Tory served our country with honor for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. His time in the military included tours to Japan, North Carolina, Hawaii and Iraq – in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was an excellent Marine to those who served alongside him. We as his family are so proud of his military accomplishments and service.

After the military, Tory attended Park University in Missouri, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree and subsequently a Master’s of Business Administration Degree in 2020. Completing his college degrees was a huge accomplishment for Tory after years of juggling full-time employment and having young children at home.

Tory worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a train conductor before going on to work for Honeywell as a project manager for 5 years. His last position was held at Ford Motor Company where he continued in project management.

Tory is survived by his mother Rosa Rosado (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico) father Benjamin Davila (Puerto Rico), daughter Sydney Davila (Lee’s Summit, MO), daughters Mya and Presley Davila (Blue Springs, MO) and son Samuel Davila (Lee’s Summit, MO).
