Thomas Jeffrey Barnes January 10, 1962 – April 30, 2025

Thomas Jeffrey Barnes passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 63.

Born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Tom was known by all who met him as a kind soul with a heart full of love. His warm laugh, deep appreciation for music, and gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tom was an avid reader of theology and a man of steadfast faith - he knew the Lord, and that knowledge guided him with grace throughout his life.

He was the proud father of his only child, Gabrielle Barnes, who survives him. Tom would tell anyone who would listen how deeply he loved his daughter and how he always strived to be the best he could be for her.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Barbara Barnes, and his brother Eddie. He is survived by his siblings: Gaylord Barnes and his wife, Nancy, of Arizona; Peter Barnes of Georgia; Evelyn Barnes Bodett and her husband, Dave, of Colorado; and Mary Barnes Mick and her husband, Rick, of Idaho, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tom’s siblings were a constant and grounding force throughout his life - he loved them deeply, and their unwavering support carried him through many of his hardest seasons.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes, no formal service will be held. His family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with the loved ones who went before him. He will be remembered with honesty, care, and love.
