Richard "Dicky" Gabe Thompson, age 72 of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born February 13, 1946 to Richard Crosby Thompson and Gabrielle Xavier Deschamps.A creative, kind and gentle soul, he was loved by his many friends and family. A lifelong musician, he had a passion and talent for music at an early age. His abilities allowed him to collaborate with many great artists and travel the world. Though his earthly journey has ended, his song continues on. His insight and thoughtfulness will be greatly missed.Dicky was preceded in death by his father, Richard Crosby Thompson and he leaves behind his mother, Gabrielle Lowell; three sisters, Vicky Barnes, Toni Cook and husband, Wally, and Karen Taylor and husband, Jerry; brother in-law, Larry Barnes; three aunts, Muriel Johnston, Ellen Rech and husband, Bruno, and Janet Roth; nieces and nephews, Aaron Barnes, Jeremy Barnes, Rebekah Barnes, Richard Morrison, Taylor Cook, Gabrielle Meadows, Katherine Denham, and Melinda Greer; Audrey Thompson, to whom he was married for several years; and two beloved dogs, Socrates and Bailey."When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."Memorial contributions can be made to .
