Peggy Smith

Peggy Jean Kelley Smith, age 66 of White House, TN, passed away November 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving daughters and family in the peace and comfort of her home. She was born J uly 13, 1952 in Maury County, TN. Peggy married the love of her li fe, Richard "Rick" Smith on June 12 th, 1970 ; she shared her life with him until his passing in 2005 . Her love and devotion for Rick continued until her passing and they now are together forever. She was a devoted Christian and loved her family more than anything on this earth. She was an exceptional cook and everyone that knew her knew where to go for dinner. She was known for her "Famous Butter Roll" (one of her favorites) and "Peggy's Devile d Eggs”. She had a head full of red hair and kep t her nails and toes to match . She was complimented on them everywhere she went. She loved country music and could be found watching Big Brother when it was on. Peggy will be missed by many. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vellabe Kelley; husband, Richard "Rick" Smith ; son, Richard Allen Smith Jr. ; brothers, John Mark Kelley and Edward Wayne Kelley ; and sister, Diana Lynn Moncrief . She is survived by her daughters, Kellye (Chuck) Burns and Lori (Chuck) Vaughn, both of White House; two granddaughters, She lby (Ben) Brown and McK enzie Vaughn both of White House; grandson, Bailey Burns of White House and one sister, Jan (Alan) Wiles of Goodlettsville. A graveside serv ice for Peggy will be held at 2:00pm , December 2 nd, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Di ckerson Road, Goodlettsville TN 37072.
