Oliver "Ollie" Deonarine left this world on May 11, 2026, at 11:37 a.m., exactly as he lived: on his own terms, surrounded by people who adored him, and likely making someone laugh until the very end.

Oliver was 31 years old. He had a rare gift for friendship. If you needed him, he showed up — no hesitation, no questions asked — ready to make you laugh and remind you you weren't alone.

He loved cars and motorcycles fiercely, but he loved his people even more. During his final 60 days at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Alive Hospice, his friends in Nashville surrounded him with extraordinary devotion, a reflection of the loyalty and love he gave so freely throughout his life.

He was funny, kind, and deeply loyal — the kind of person who made everyone feel important. In 31 years, Oliver touched more lives than most do in a lifetime.

Oliver is survived by his sister, Seema and by the Nashville friends who became his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gabriele Wood, who passed away in December 2025.

Those closest to Oliver in his final days shared that he saw his mother waiting for him. We choose to believe she came to bring him home.
