Clark, Nathaniel Thomas (Popeye) (Buddy)

Departed his earthly home on October 29, 2022 at Nashville VA Hospital. He was preceded in death by his Father –Samuel M. Clark; Mother – Gloria Wanda Paskett Clark; Sister – Gloria Jean Garrison and Great nephew- Mario O. Mayes.

Nathaniel is survived by brother- Samuel O. Clark (Yucaipa, CA); Niece LaTonya M Garrison; Nephew- Timothy E. Mayes; Great nephews; Deamontay Taylor and Ricky D Mason. He also leaves numerous Cousins, other relatives and friends.

Nathaniel was educated at Nashville Public Schools. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army receiving an Honorable Discharge. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal Parachute Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Nathaniel confessed a hope in Christ and united with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Madison, TN under the late Rev. Biggers. He was known through out the city and surrounding area for his Construction work and teaching others his skills along with knowledge.

Popeye never met a stranger, he would keep you laughing, cracking jokes, cooking catfish, spending time with his family and friends.

A service with military honors will be held at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, November 17th, at 1:00 PM.
