Marilyn Joy Dickens

Marilyn Joy Dickens October 31, 1954 - May 28, 2025

Marilyn loved unconditionally and never missed an opportunity to let you know she cared for those she loved. She passed peacefully with her daughters by her side.

She is survived by daughters Summer Welch (Jarrett) and Sarah Rose Jones (Shaqilla), four grandchildren: Mary-Beth Nichols (Colton), Ryan Welch (Abigail), Justin Welch, and Joseph Card, four great-grands, one brother Preston Luttrell, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Marilyn was proceeded in death by her husband Eddie Dickens, mother and father Sarah and John Luttrell, siblings: Tennielea Henderson, Thelma Grace Noe, Juanita Lamberth, Wayne Price, William “Buddy” Luttrell, and Mazel Cotton.

The family deeply appreciates the love and compassion of a few earthly angels who guided us through this journey including Eric Miller with Care Patrol, Aveanna Hospice, Dr. Jeannie Lessly, Ms. Dawn and Ms. Shirley at Young Heart, and Brook and Danny Batson.

Momma always said, Jesus loves you, but I’m His favorite.
