Luther Brewer

Luther Winfred Brewer, age 74 of Clinton, KY, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. Mr. Brewer was born February 12, 1942 in Nashville, TN to Herman Winford and Pauline Fann Brewer.Mr. Brewer served in the United States Army for over 22 years before retiring. Following his military career, he worked in real estate and carpentry. He enjoyed gardening and building anything and everything.Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Shannon Apostle.He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Brewer; daughter, Melanie Sudbury; son, Luther Joseph Brewer; sisters, Joyce Pitts and Peggy Gump; grandchildren, Cory Brewer, Nicholas Apostle, Brandon Brewer, Brittany Brewer, Elizabeth Branim, Lauren Yi, Erin Yi and Soulie Sudbury; and many family members and friends.A graveside service will be conducted at the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery and service time will be announced when available.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice at 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or to the American Lung Association at One Vantage Way, Nashville, TN 37228.Arrangements entrusted to Nashville Cremation Center, (615) 678-4832.
