Lawrence Paul Johnson, age 87, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. He was the son of the late James Arthur Johnson and the late Jorcie Vaughn Johnson. He was a retiree from Metro Water Dept. in Nashville. Lawrence was well known as being a great fiddle player, which has won him awards.
He enjoyed fishing and watching westerns, wrestling, and horror movies. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Thelma (Sally) Johnson Greer, and brothers Homer Johnson, Carl Johnson, Raymond Johnson, and James Arthur Johnson Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry Nolen Johnson, daughter Kimberly Rae Johnson Lara, granddaughter Jade Madison Johnson, brothers Joe Johnson, Edgar Johnson, and George (Bubba) Johnson.
