Larry Dale Sisco, Sr.

The family of Larry Dale Sisco is deeply saddened to announce his passing on June 25, 2026.

Larry was born on March, 1, 1948 in Sumner County, TN. He lived a long life of being a hardworking provider for his family and then becoming a very loving and kind Grandfather in his later years, being known as “Poppy” by his grandchildren.

Larry worked in construction his whole career with Nashville Machine. And he was able to fix just about anything with his hands and his determination. He never gave up on a problem.

Larry was greatly admired by his family because he always had that determination in everything he did. First, when it came to fixing just about anything and his career as well but later in life when he dealt with some severe health issues, he fought them bravely until the end. He was always so resilient in the face of adversity.

He is survived by his Daughter, Shannon Miller, his Son-In-Law, Thomas Miller, his Son, Shane Sisco and his Son, Joshua Sisco, his Daughter-In-Law, Emily Sisco, his Grandson, Dalton Sisco, his Grandson, Neyland Sisco, he is also survived by Brooke and Spencer Armstrong and their Son, Everett Armstrong and their Daughter, Aubrey Armstrong. Larry helped his wife, Jane, watch Everett and Aubrey over the last 5 years while Jane was their Nanny, he was their “Poppy”, too. Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Sisco, his Father, Walter Sisco, his Mother, Lecta Sisco, his Brother, Grady Sisco, his Brother, Lamon Sisco, his Brother Bradley Sisco, his Brother Earl Sisco, his Brother Douglas Sisco, his sister Bettie Sisco Turner and his Sister, Gladys Sisco Williams.

He loved all of them so much and they loved his in the same, mutual respect. Larry will be tremendously missed by everyone that knew him.
