Karen was born on October 18, 1957, in Madison, TN and went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Cooper Litton and grandmother, Rose Litton.
Karen is survived by her mother, Alma Willene Tice Litto; her daughter, Karah Jackson Rutland (and son-in-law, Bobby Rutland); granddaughter, Evah Grace Rutland; sister, Debra Litton Butner (Joey); brother, Nelson Litton (Karen); nephew, Tyler Litton; niece, Melissa Higginbotham and family; and nephew, Sam Ballesteros and family.
Karen's personality was one that lit up rooms and that made fast friends of perfect strangers... therefore, there are so many family members, lifelong friends, and new friends that she truly loved. To list them all would be nearly impossible.
Karen's natural nature was one of selflessness and love for others. Her love for the Lord was deeply rooted and paramount in her life, along with being an amazing daughter to her parents, playful sister, and aunt; but shared the most sincere love and admiration for her daughter and granddaughter.
She loved to make others laugh, enjoyed time at the beach, planting flowers, singing and dancing to many different types of music, and being so loving. Karen is and Always will be loved by many, and will be "sorely" missed.
A celebration of Life will be held on October 25th, 2025 with visitation from 12:00 to 1:30pm, and a service to follow from 1:30 to 2:30pm at Tusculum Church of Christ, 6117 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations be made to Tusculum Church of Christ.
