Jessica Michelle Newsom

Jessica Michelle Newsom, age 39 of Franklin, TN, went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 15, 2024.  Jessica was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt.  She was a beautiful woman with a welcoming smile and personality that would light up a room.  You could not help but to be drawn to her infectious laugh and sense of humor.  

 Jessica was a star softball player from a young age and throughout her high school years at Beech Senior High School located in Hendersonville TN.  She had a lovely singing voice and was a fabulous hair stylist.  Jessica loved her family deeply.  Her greatest love was being a mother to her daughter Bree, whom she adored.  She was a member of Owen Chapel Church of Christ.  

 Jessica is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer & Ada Newsom of Nashville, TN, John R. & Jeanne Whitson of Nashville, TN. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Brielle “Bree” Maddox of Franklin, TN; father, Michael (Kimberly) Newsom of Goodlettsville, TN; mother, Ava (Mark) Taylor of Franklin, TN; brother, Brandon (Amy) Winters of Hendersonville, TN; sisters, Misty (James) Campbell of Franklin, TN, Tara (Billy) Schaffer of Brentwood, TN;  step siblings, Aaron (Brittany) Taylor, Andrea (TJ) VanFleet, Alissa (Brandon) Long of Summertown, TN; and many beloved nieces & nephews.  

 A celebration of life will be held for Jessica in the Spring of 2024 . 

 In lieu of flowers, memorials will be graciously accepted to Bree’s Education fund.
