Jerry Tyson

Jerry Don Tyson, age 60 of Jackson, TN passed away November 4, 2017 at his home in Jackson, TN. Mr. Tyson was born December 11, 1956 in Paris, TN.He was a veteran of the United States Army, during which time he was stationed in Germany and was skilled in maintenance and communications. After his term of service, Mr. Tyson put his maintenance skills to use at Jackson State Community College. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed working with his hands. He spent his time camping, fishing, and working with tools in the shed he built on his property. He loved learning and spent many hours researching various topics, including aspects of his Christian faith.He was preceded in death by his father, James Edwin Tyson.He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mattie Lorene Tyson of Jackson, TN; former wife of 16 years and devoted friend, Claudia Jean Tyson; son, Clayton James Tyson and wife, Jaime of Rome, GA; daughter, Audrey Louise Tyson of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Lillian Tyson, Penny Tyson, Evelyn Tyson and Tyson Dodd; and his beloved dog and companion, Coco.
