Jeffrey Pennig

Jeffrey Edmund Pennig, age 69 of Nashville, TN passed away November 22, 2018. He was born April 26, 1949 in Saint Paul, MN to the late Warren Edmund Pennig and the former Janet Lucille Murray.After 25 years as an accomplished songwriter, he obtained a Masters Degree from Vanderbilt University and became a history professor at Austin Peay. He was a chess expert, enjoyed classical music and jazz, and read voraciously. He appreciated the wonders of nature, followed boxing, Vandy baseball and basketball. He was an exceptional storyteller and a loyal friend who was loved and respected by all who knew him.Mr. Pennig was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary.He is survived by his wife Cynthia Diederich Pennig, sister, Laura Stephans; and a large extended family.Services will be held in St. Paul, MN at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Offer Condolence for the family of Jeffrey Edmund Pennig
