James "Jimmy" Daniel Barnes

James “Jimmy” Daniel Barnes, age 69 of White Bluff, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee after a brief illness. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James R and Olivia Barnes; one brother, Marty Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Geri Ann Barnes; two sisters, Lydia Reed (Lynn), Ann Meador (Mike); one brother, Eddie Barnes (Tanya).

Jimmy was a man of many talents having worked in research and design for the boating industry for several years for companies such as Stratos and Triton and also as a aircraft mechanic and lastly for Nashville Wire Products as a maintenance mechanic. Aside from his professional careers, Jimmy loved fishing, spending time at the lake, collecting guns, watching FOX News and being at home with Geri. Jimmy was a very humble, down to earth man with a kind and gentile sprint. He would help anyone in need having never met a stranger. His kindness and loving spirit was also extended to helping and caring for animals in need. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
