Glenna J Ward

Glenna J. Ward, age 106, of Devine, TX passed away peacefully on 3/22/2026 in Nashville, TN. She was born 3/13/1920 to James Wiggington and Ida (Bowman) Wiggington as the seventh of seven children. Glenna will be remembered for many things but most of all for her love for her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. She pursued many creative endeavors throughout her long life including painting and creative writing. She enjoyed any opportunity to be out in or watch nature. She had a quick sense of humor and it especially showed up with the caregivers, who we are so very thankful for, that helped care for her in the later years of life. Glenna married John Vance in 1940 and raised two children James L. Vance and Laurie J. Vance. John passed in 1979 and later Glenna married Fred Ward. Glenna is survived by her son James L.Vance (Barbara), grandsons Jeffrey Vance (Amy), Jamie Vance (Rebekah), and Megan Vance, great grandchildren John, Alexandria and Jonas Vance. She also leaves behind nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, step-children, and step-grands.

The family will gather to celebrate her life at a later date.
