Geri Lowe Thompson, of Wilmington, NC, passed away at the home of her daughter in Brentwood, TN, on October 11, 2020. She was born in 1935 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Delbert Lowe and Mary Freeman Gmyrick. She attended Auburn High School, traveled to many states while married & raising her 6 children and lived most her life in Wilmington, NC. Geri was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Rebecca Thompson. She is survived by her children; Heidi Stogner & husband Greg of Brentwood, TN; Suzanne McSpadden & husband Joe of Midlothian, VA; Jennifer Bennett & husband Steve of Castle Hayne, NC; Robin Thompson of Wilmington, NC; David Thompson and wife Lisa of Wilmington, NC; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and her brothers Robert, David & Thomas Lowe. Geri was a beautiful, strong woman with a delightful sense of humor. She worked hard to take care of her children, and was a beloved Mimi & Grammie. A rrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
