Edward Beene

Edward Harrison Beene passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, after his long battle with cancer. He was born at his maternal grandparents' house in Charlotte, TN on July 31, 1939.He graduated from Gallatin High School in 1958, and worked many years as a truck driver, car salesman, and real estate investor. He retired in 2001, and spent his remaining years as a cat and goat farmer in Liberty, TN.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Aileen Southerland Beene and Joseph Beene; his brother, Lemuel; and his sisters, Sue Vaughn and Patricia Underwood.He is survived by his nephew, Joe (Mary) Underwood; niece, Tina (Gary) Johnson; his four great-nephews; and a great-niece.A visitation and memorial service will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1339 Liberty Rd. Charlotte, TN 37036.
