David Larry Carter Sr. (67, Graysville, TN) passed away unexpectedly in his home and went to God's graces. David worked as a foundry worker at Wheland Foundry and as a warehouse worker at NOI (Nashville Office Interiors) both located in Chattanooga, Tennessee for over 30 years. He was the most hardworking, loving, kind, and loyal man. David Sr. had a huge heart for everyone and would do absolutely anything to help anybody in need. He loved everything Elvis and was a devout fan of the Atlanta Braves; something he instilled in his son, David Jr. He is survived by many loved ones, including his son David Larry Carter Jr. (Victoria); siblings, Samuel "Sammy" Carter; Gail Carter Clingan (Keith); John Carter (Mary); Steve Carter (Tammy); Wayne Carter (Angie); sister-in-law, Deb Carter; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Allene Carter and his father Samuel Carter; and siblings, Patricia "Patsy" Ann Newsom (Herman "Shorty"); Donna Kay Hull, and Tommy Carter. A memorial service will be held at a later date and is being planned by son, David Carter Jr., and he will provide those details soon.
