Cherilyn Kaye McWhirter

November 11, 1961 — June 4, 2024

Nashville

It is with a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Cherilyn "Cheri" Cline McWhirter on June 4, 2024. Born in Lexington, KY on November 11, 1961. Not long after, she moved to Raleigh, NC where she went on to graduate from Millbrook Highschool. Cheri lived a life of joy and warmth, and moved through the world with a charisma and charm that was truly contagious.

Unforgettable and vibrant, Cheri had a way of treating everyone she met as one of her own. Her remarkable humor, undeniable presence and infectious laugh made her a true blessing to be around.

She was called “Mama or Nana” by all that knew her, and being what we fondly refer to as the best at "Blowing Sunshine". Her favorite place to unwind was the beach, where the simplicity and beauty of nature mirrored her own love for life.

But nothing compared to the happiness she found among her family, especially her grandchildren as these moments were her most treasured.

Cheri leaves behind a loving and beautiful family, who are a testament to her enduring love and strength. She is survived by her daughters, Ashley(Doug), Lindsay(Austin), and Audry McWhirter. Her Fiancé and Life partner of over 28 years Sid Driggers, as well as Cherilyn's Father, Gerald Cline, and step-mother, Colette Cline, whom mourn the loss of their beloved daughter. She is also survived by her ex-husband, John McWhirter(Grace) and her sisters, Danielle Seuberling(Shawn) and Michelle Stoakes(Eric) along with her brother, Glenn Cassidy. Her precious grandchildren; Dylan, Colton, Ella, Porter, Hunter and Devin. Preceded by her mother, Madge Miller, brother "Little Jerry" Cline Jr., and sister Vicki Newsome, the family reunion in heaven is bittersweet, filled with missing pieces on earth.

Her loss leaves a void that cannot be filled. However, the memory of her laughter, her loving touch, and her incredible ability to make a standard day feel like a vacation will forever be remembered. As we celebrate her journey on earth, we cherish the truth that to know her was indeed to love her. Rest in peace Cheri, you will be forever be missed but never forgotten.
