Obituary

March 20, 1954–March 10, 2026

With deep sadness, we must share that our beloved brother, uncle, and great uncle, Brian Charles Wright, has passed into the Spirit’s loving and eternal protection on March 10, 2026.

Brian was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 20, 1954. He was known to his family and friends as kind and fun loving. He adored his nieces who put on his baseball mitts to catch softballs he would throw to them when they were little and loved being the Easter Bunny every year. A die-hard St. Louis Cardinal fan, a nature lover, Brian was known especially for his intense love of guitar.

He graduated from Kirkwood High School in Kirkwood, Missouri, and attended Meremec Community College briefly before plunging full force into touring the country with his guitar and band and later mastering his exceptional guitar skills in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville, Brian was dedicated to the Center for Spiritual Living, performing there with dear friends in Sunday music services, as well as organizing camping trips and picnics with the Center.

His parents, Gillette and Florence Wright, and his niece, Casey Lynn Wright (Bruce Wright’s and Sydney Brooks’s daughter) preceded him in death.

Brian is survived by his brother, Bruce “Rossco” Wright (Ati Yates); his sister, Pamela Kerlin; his nieces, Kimberly Kerlin (Vincent Twomey) and Katherine Nejedlo (Grant Nejedlo), his great niece, Lilian Nejedlo; his great nephew, Silas Nejedlo; and many dear friends.

We are heartbroken by his loss. He will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Coronada Condominium Clubhouse, 250 Chimney Hill, Nashville, TN 37221.
