William Robert Ellis, known affectionately to many as "Wild Bill," passed away on June 9, 2026, in Hermitage, Tennessee. Born on December 14, 1963, in Independence, Missouri, Bill lived a life marked by adventure, humor, and a profound love for those around him.
Bill dedicated much of his professional life to sales in the relocation industry, where he built a successful career marked by commitment and integrity. Just this past December, he retired, ready to embrace new adventures and savor the moments with his loved ones.
A man of vibrant personality, Bill was often described as adventurous and funny, bringing laughter and excitement wherever he went. His enthusiasm for Kansas City football was well-known, as was his passion for NASCAR, hobbies that brought him joy and connected him with friends and family alike
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Gina, who stood by his side through life's twists and turns. He was a proud and loving father to Mitch (Katie) Ellis and Miah (Blair) Willis and cherished his stepchildren, Jaclyn Gonzalez, David Peterson, and Danny Peterson, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Bill is also survived by his beloved siblings, Tammy Ellis, Ronnie Ellis, and Terri Smith, whose love and support remained an important part of his life. Bill is proceeded in death by his loving parents Ezra and Wanda Ellis. He will be remembered for his zest for life, unwavering loyalty, generous spirit, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.
William Robert Ellis's life leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. His spirit will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing "Wild Bill."
