Anna E. Schneider

Anna E. Schneider, Longtime Nashville, Tennessee resident and Kenosha, Wisconsin native lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, May 28, passing peacefully at her home in West Nashville.

Anna was tough and resilient. As a single woman, she worked diligently throughout her life to take care of herself. She was known to do whatever it took to get to and from work, including riding the city bus and her bicycle when she was new to town and did not yet own a car. She took great pride in the quality of her work and believed in being thorough, efficient, and doing the job correctly the first time, while providing exceptional service to her customers.

She graduated from George N. Tremper High School in June 1982 and earned her accounting degree from Gateway Technical Institute in January 1985. She moved to Nashville a few years later. After working for several companies in Nashville, she was hired as an accountant at Ted R. Sanders Moving and Warehouse where she worked for more than 25 years and became part of the family. In true Anna fashion, she retired only two days before her passing.

Anna was a fun-loving person who enjoyed the simple things in life, such as sharing meals with friends, spending time in nature, and attending many concerts as a devoted music lover.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, A. John Schneider and Helen Napier Schneider, as well as her younger brother, Peter Schneider.

She asked that her ashes be scattered by her friends in places she loved in both Nashville and Kenosha. We will honor her wishes as we remember her laughter, courage, and outgoing spirited personality.
