Angela S. Powers

Angela S. Powers, 81, passed away September 5, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Frances (DeFazio) Piccino. She married Sherwood Powers, and they lived in Philadelphia, Orlando, and Atlanta, before coming to Nashville. In the mid 1970’s, Angela studied at UT Nashville to become a paralegal. She was employed with Manier, Herod, Hollabaugh & Smith for 30 years, and Smith, Cashion, & Orr for 26 years before retiring in December 2024. Angela and Woody were avid travelers enjoying all parts of the world and making many life-long friendships along the way. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, and sisters, Floretta Schools & JoAnn Crossetta. Angela is survived by her nephew, William (Treesa) Schools, cousin, Paula Lowry, niece, Karen (Roger) Zerbe, and extended family, and Angela’s Angels, Michelle (John) Skelley Ashford & Mary Carter. Burial will be at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville at the convenience of the family.
