Andrew "Drew" Scott Godfrey, 44, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2026, following a series of strokes in Nashville, TN. The son of the late Weldon S."Bud" Godfrey Jr. and Linda Harris Godfrey, he was born on July 20, 1981, in Newport News, VA. Drew graduated from Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, VA in 1999. His current residence was on Missionary Ridge, Bon Aqua, TN,

Drew loved music of all types and attending concerts of his favorite bands. He also loved walking on the beach, animals, travel and going down the road less traveled, spending time with family, watching science fiction and was always a willing helper. He found joy in everything he did as evidenced by his infectious laughter.

In addition to his mother, Linda Godfrey, Bon Aqua TN, left to cherish his memory are his brother and sister-in-law, Weldon S. Godfrey III and Jennifer Menendez Godfrey, and his nephew, Daniel Weldon Godfrey of Bon Aqua, TN.

He was predeceased by his father, Weldon "Bud" Godfrey Jr., Hampton VA; his paternal grandparents, Weldon S. Godfrey Sr. and Beatrice York Godfrey, Matoaka WV; and his maternal grandparents, Jewel V. Clarke and Clyde R. Clarke, Richmond VA.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral.

Isaiah 40:31 ... those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength and soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
