Alexander de Benedictus Robinson, a cherished husband and father known for his kind, calm, caring, witty, and humorous personality, left us on August 28, 2024. Born on May 28, 1967 in Miami, FL and grew up in The Bronx NY.
Alex was fiercely independent and private with exception of sharing about his daughters Allie and Jayden. The adoration and pride he felt for his daughters could be felt anytime he spoke of them; they were his whole world. He beamed with pride when speaking of Allie and her accomplishments in the Air Force, and couldn’t wait to get the next phone call, excited to hear about the adventures to come. He was always ready to encourage Jayden in her choices in life and supported and cheered her on in her passion of twirling.
On Halloween day in 2020 Alex married his partner in laughs and the love of his life, Lola. Their time together will forever be cherished; long talks peppered with Lola’s sassy comments followed by clever comebacks from Alex; sitting by the fire in the backyard watching trains go by; adventures in the truck to visit loved ones, to find off-the-beaten-path hobby stores, ice-cream dates all the while sharing his dad jokes. Lola appreciated how Alex could always explain IT in a way she could understand. They thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company and simply just each other.
Alex loved his roll at DCI. He was passionate about patient care. To Alex, one of the biggest assets he had at DCI were the men and women he worked with every day. He had great admiration and relationship with his team. Alex was so grateful to Mathew for “TRICKING” him into applying for his dream job. Alex’s passion for his career led him to pursue a CCNA certificate, studying before and after work each day.
Loving & devoted father, fun, fiercely protective & loving husband, captivating storyteller, thoughtful co-worker, avid model collector & builder, (not sure if he ever finished one), model train hobbyist, distinguished swimmer & lifeguard, clever prankster.
Alex loved Star Wars, music, notably- Dave Matthews Band, F14’s, furry 4 legged friends, onions, technology, T-shirts, warm temps, large portions of Lola’s macaroni and cheese, long backroad car rides chasing trains, tacos from El Metate, Groot & Bendi, N-scale Model Trains, learning from YouTube, Top Gun, video gaming, Godzilla, building & launching model rockets, and the list will continue with your memories.
The Celebration of Life will be a private gathering of close family and friends. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Liberty Elementary Library of Franklin, TN in Alex’s honor
