Alexander Mason Sitomer

September 14, 1987 — October 11, 2025

Alexander Mason Sitomer, 38, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 11, 2025. He was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, on September 14, 1987, to Cynthia and David Sitomer, and was the oldest of the three Sitomer sons, followed by Kyle and Grant. Alex was fortunate to share his birthday and celebrate it with his paternal grandfather, Roy Sitomer, for the first sixteen years of his life.

Alex began setting life goals for himself in his early years. He was smart, ambitious, hard-working, and unafraid of risk-taking. He dreamed of marrying the right girl, having children, and being his own boss. While growing up in Leawood, KS, he graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 2006. He earned a Master of Accounting degree from Vanderbilt University in 2011. At Vanderbilt, he met Emily Ruth Partin of McMinnville, TN, and instantly fell head over heels for her. After graduation, they both moved to Dallas, TX, and started their life together. They married in Beaver Creek, CO, in August 2014 and soon returned to Nashville, where they later started their family.

Alex grew up snow skiing with his family in Beaver Creek. He loved the mountains, especially in the wintertime. When he and Emily first met, of course, he immediately taught her the sport he loved. Alex has already passed on his love of skiing by teaching his two young children, Ella and Pierce.

Alex’s professional life in real estate development never stood in the way of his priority as a family man, as he often brought his family on business trips. His love of the mountains of Colorado and the beaches of Florida soon became equally adored by Emily and their children, creating cherished memories at both.

Alex remained committed to his goals of being a hard worker and putting his family first when his life was unexpectedly cut short due to cardiac arrest. Through organ donation, Alex’s legacy and his commitment to helping others will live on. Alex will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Emily, and children, Natalie Ella (5) and Pierce Alexander (4) Sitomer, of Nashville. He is also survived by his parents, Cindy and David Sitomer; brother Kyle Sitomer (Lee), with nephews Ben and Fritz; niece/goddaughter Margaux; and brother Grant Sitomer of Greater Kansas City. His maternal grandmother, Natalie C. Lewis of St. Joseph, also survives him. Emily’s parents, Rosalyn and Earl Partin of McMinnville, her brother Will (Des) Partin with nephew Wells of Charlotte, NC, and Alex’s aunts, uncles, and cousins will also miss him. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, David W. Lewis Sr, and Bobbie and Roy Sitomer.

Alex’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 21st, at 1:00 PM at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road in Prairie Village, KS, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, his family has requested donations be made to a trust fund for his children’s education. Contributions may be made payable to ‘Sitomer Children’s Trust’ and mailed to Emily Sitomer, 2924 Wellesley Trace, Nashville, TN 37215.
