Alexander Napoleon Gray, born on October 9, 1958, peacefully transitioned on June 14, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Alexander is survived by his mother, Easter Gray, and his brother, Alfonzo Gray. He was preceded in death by his father, Jefforey Gray, and his brother, Gregory Gray.
He was a devoted father to his five children: Mary Lymon, Tameka (Ced) McDonald, Valissia (Sandy) Granderson, Cory (Patrice) Gray, and Brandy Gray, who will forever cherish his guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love.
His legacy continues through his ten beloved grandchildren: Adam Lymon; A’lexus Johnson and Autumn Caldwell; Lamar Freeman, Tiasia Cortner, Montrell Granderson, and Shauntrell Phillips; Cari Gray and Cory Gray Jr.; and James Louie Johnson, each of whom brought him tremendous joy and pride. Alexander dedicated part of his career to the medical field as a phlebotomist, where he served others with compassion and care. He later worked as a truck driver until his health declined. Known on the road by the handle “Too Short,” he carried that same vibrant personality wherever he went. He loved driving trucks and enjoyed traveling to different states, creating lasting memories and friendships along the way.
Alexander will always be remembered for his bright smile, infectious energy, and his ability to light up any room. He was truly the life of the party, loved to dance, and enjoyed having conversations with everyone he met. He never met a stranger, and his warm spirit, quick wit, and outgoing personality left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Alexander Napoleon Gray will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit, laughter, and love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
