
Martin Anthony “Marty” Brumbach, age 66, died suddenly of natural causes at his home in Nashville, Tennessee on September 25, 2018. He was born July 14, 1952 in Nashville.
Marty grew up in Madison, Tennessee and graduated from Isaac Litton High School, Class of 1970. Before attending Volunteer State Community College, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy, including a tour of combat duty to Vietnam in 1971-1972. He loved to play baseball during his youth and lettered in the sport in high school. He was an avid sports and music fan his entire life. He worked for the US Postal Service for a number of years before joining, and eventually retiring from, the trucking industry.
Marty was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank and Doris Brumbach. He is survived by his brothers, Fred and wife, Jean, of Goodlettsville, TN and John and his wife, Marie, of Sandy Springs, GA; niece, Angie Watson of Lawrenceville, GA; and his nephew, Steve and his wife, Lyndsey of Encinitas, CA.
A graveside service with Navy Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Nashville National Cemetery, located at 1420 Gallatin Pike in Madison, Tennessee.
