Condolence from Ann Coleman Thompson on October 5th, 2017 8:35 am

Wilma and family, So sorry for your loss. I think I can speak on behalf of the Rives Class of 1961 in extending our deepest sympathy on his passing. We knew a Christian man who loved God, his family, his country, his friends and life. He lived a life of faith and service to others. We knew an intelligent, quiet young man who listened and observed, but always had a well thought-out opinion and a sense of humor to go along with it. He was a hard worker–I tried to talk him into retirement several years before he retired. I knew he was in failing health, but his passing came as a shock. He and I kept up with news of our families and health issues via Facebook–I will miss him–just saw him on Facebook a couple weeks ago. I would love to attend the Celebration of his life, but have commitments here on that day. Just please know that I will be thinking of you and offering up a prayer for your comfort and healing. Ken is in a better place–walking (unassisted) with angels. Ann Coleman Thompson
