
John Keith James, age 37, of Springfield, TN passed away peacefully at his residence on February 13, 2018 after a valiant battle against cancer. He is the son of George Earl James and Evelyn McKinney James of Springfield, TN. He was born in Cookeville, TN on August 13, 1980.
Keith graduated from Austin Peay State University with degrees in Business Management and Homeland Security. He was a salesman by profession and excellent at his work. He was a humorous and outgoing person with a great personality who never met a stranger. He was compassionate and loving to all he met. He was a tremendous fan of the University of Tennessee and he also loved the Cincinnati Reds. He loved his family, his fiancé, Autumn, and his son, little George!
He is survived by his parents, George and Evelyn James of Springfield, TN; son, George Nicholas James of White House, TN; fiancé, Autumn Alexander of White House, TN; step-son, Pierce Legan; sisters, Kimberly (Jeff) Harmon of Cookeville, TN and Christy (Phil) Walker of Murfreesboro, TN; five loving nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 226 South Main Street, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, Friday, February 23, 2018, 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Tim Stutler officiating. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Fryer, Andy Barlow, Justin Parrott, Kyle Davis, Mitch Copeland, Howard Matthews, and Jason Summey.
The family suggests donations be made “In Memory of Keith James”, to the Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Elevator Fund, C/O Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 226 South Main Street, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
