
Elaine (Lainey) Helen Murray, 76, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away February 26, 2016.
She was born January 25, 1940, in Aberdeen, SD. She attended Aberdeen Central High School and graduated in 1959. She married Pat Murray in 1962. They were married for 53 years. In 1971, they moved to Chandler, AZ where they raised their two daughters, Melissa and Molly. In 1983, they moved to Morristown, TN where they owned and operated Taco John’s restaurant franchise. In 2013 they retired to Mt. Juliet, TN.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family fiercely. She also loved playing bridge (Life Master), reading and being actively involved in the Del Webb community.
She is survived by her husband, Pat Murray; her two daughters; Melissa Schwab (Brad) of O’Fallon, MO and Molly Wheeler (Jimmy) of Franklin, TN; her grandchildren: Garrett Schwab of Springfield, IL; Amanda Schwab of Springfield, IL; Zachary Wheeler of Franklin, TN and Abby Wheeler of Franklin, TN; siblings: Marie Bartholf (Loren) of Kennewick, WA; Joanie Osborne of Arvada, CO and Bob Pfeiffer (Kathy) of Rapid City, SD; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ann Pfeiffer; siblings Bill and Ron Pfeiffer; Margie Parsons; brother-in-law, Marlon Osborne and infant son, Michael Patrick.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 5 from 9-11 am at St. Stephen Catholic Community Church. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, 37138.
